Bio-VOC breath sampler 

The Bio-VOC breath sampler provides a non-invasive and low cost alternative to conventional blood or urine analysis for biological exposure monitoring.  Developed by scientists at the UK Health and Safety Laboratory the Bio-VOC offers affordable mass screening for individuals working with skin absorbed chemicals or required to wear respiratory/personal protective equipment at work.  Other applications include biological monitoring of environmental exposure and research into clinical diagnosis via breath volatiles.

The disposable Bio-VOC sampler allows simple collection of alveolar (end-tidal) breath followed by subsequent quantitative transfer of the breath sample onto a sorbent tube.  Medically-trained staff are not required.
