Markes launches ClearView™ - GC/MS re-processing software - improving the analysis of trace compounds in complex real world samples
Saturday 1 March 2008 11:16 AM
ClearView reprocesses stored GC/MS data files, dramatically improving the quantitative and qualitative analysis of trace compounds in real world samples. It is a perfect complement to Markes portfolio of analytical thermal desorption (TD) instrumentation for GC/MS analysis of trace toxic and odorous compounds in air and materials.
ClearView uses a sophisticated Dynamic Background Compensation (DBC) algorithm to distinguish between chromatographic peaks and GC-background/baseline anomalies in stored GC/MS data files. The original data files are left intact and unaffected.
The results of this innovative approach to background elimination are a dramatic improvement in both spectral purity and peak integration for trace compounds.
