TD Accessories: Helium Leak Detector
The helium leak detector is a portable, highly sensitive instrument designed to detect helium carrier gas leaks in thermal desorption and GC systems. Gas leaks are indicated with both an indicator lamp display and an audible alarm.
The long, flexible probe makes it convenient to detect small and hard to reach gas leaks. Use the detector for gases other than helium by simply changing the polarity setting. Detector features a simple one-step zero adjustment and is fully portable, operating on rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries which give up to 6.5 hours of use on a full charge.
The detector is much more reliable and convenient than using soap solution and is sufficiently sensitive to detect very small leaks (<1 ml/min).
