Robust analytical technology for 4.5-inch sorbent (DAAMS) tubes
The 100-tube capacity Auto-DAAMS thermal desorption (TD) system comprises a Markes UNITY TD platform with an ULTRA-X autosampler configured for 4.5-inch DAAMS
(Depot Area Air Monitoring System) tubes.
UNITY is the world’s most popular single-tube thermal desorber offering the broadest possible application range on a single TD platform. Auto-DAAMS builds on the robust track record of Markes standard ULTRA TD autosampler. Its field-proven mechanical simplicity and 100-tube capacity, guarantee optimum uptime and maximum sample throughput.
Tubes are contained in 10 trays with up to 10 tubes per tray. Two types of tubes are accommodated in the ULTRA-X tray:
- 4.5-inch (115 mm) long x 6mm o.d. glass straight tubes
- 4.5-inch (115 mm) long x 6mm to 10mm o.d. glass (high flow) tubes
Auto-DAAMS offers unmatched analytical performance over the widest possible analyte range; including
CS gas and
free-(underivatized) VX. All GC-compatible CW agents can be analyzed using this universal TD platform.
TD system inertness is critical for the analysis of very active compounds such as chemical warfare agents. All sample lines in the automated desorption system comprise quartz, PTFE, fused silica or short lengths of narrow-bore and uniformly-heated Silcosteel. This enables very difficult compounds, such as the nerve agent VX, to be analyzed in its free state.
