Materials Testing: direct thermal desorption

UNITY,  ULTRA 50:50 and AutoSecure for direct thermal desorption of materials samples

Offering manual or fully automated (up to 100 samples) operation, the Markes TD systems offer simple direct desorption for measurement of the VOC/SVOC content or profile of small samples of materials. Example applications include: Monomer in polymer, solvents in adhesive, additives & solvent in paint and odour profiles from leather or textiles. Markes TD systems are compatible with simultaneous analysis of VOCs and semi-VOCs.

Direct thermal desorption eliminates lengthy manual sample preparation steps and facilitates troubleshooting and comparison/characterisation of materials.  It also allows selective elimination of interferents such as water, ethanol, etc.  The data generated provides additional and complementary information to the results of conventional emissions tests.  Direct desorption is also used for ‘emissions testing’ as described in VDA Method 278 for non-metallic car trim components.

Click ULTRA-UNITY, ULTRA 50:50 or AutoSecure for further information.
