Markes International will be presenting the application of its Select-eV variable-energy ionisation technology for analysing environmental pollutants at the DBP 2014 conference on disinfection by-products in drinking water.
The conference, which will take place on 27–29 October 2014 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, will focus on the challenges faced by water utilities and regulatory authorities in balancing the risk of microbial contamination with that posed by hazardous by-products of disinfection.
Markes’ poster presents research into organic pollutants sequestered by breast implants, and was prepared in collaboration with National Resources Wales (Llanelli, UK), the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (Oslo, Norway) and the University of Portsmouth (UK):
- Enhanced screening of environmental pollutants in complex matrices by GC×GC–TOF MS with variable-energy electron ionisation, presented by Dr Leonhard Pollack in the poster sessions.
