Can you remove water without losing polar compounds?

Instant Insight 003

FAQ3

Ambient air streams with high humidity are a problem for analysts because water adversely affects the response and reproducibility of an analytical system, as well as causing consumables and detectors to wear out more quickly.

Although Nafion™ dryers are able to remove water from canister and on-line air streams, many polar compounds are also removed, restricting the scope of the analysis.

In this Instant Insight, we demonstrate how Markes’ unique Dry-Focus3™ mechanism removes water from humid samples while retaining highly polar compounds such as 1,4-dioxane, offering advantages for canister and on-line monitoring.
